Nuance Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: NUAN) today announced a new version of its Dragon® professional productivity software for both the Windows®/PC and Mac/OS X operating systems.

The three new products are:

• Dragon® Professional Individual, version 15
• Dragon® Legal Individual, version 15
• Dragon® Professional Individual for Mac, version 6

The Dragon® product line is known for allowing users to turn their ideas into text by dictating faster than even a proficient typist can type. Dragon® software allows “dictators” to navigate their PC, create documents, send email, control applications, and navigate the Web — just by talking. Users can also make use of a digital voice recorder or a smartphone dictation app to allow them to dictate while away and transcribe their audio files back at their PC or the PC of a support person. Users can also customize their vocabulary and add commands to type frequently needed text or perform a series of steps.

New Dragon® version 15 features include:

• Nuance “Deep Learning” technology that delivers up to 15 percent greater accuracy for new users and ongoing accuracy improvements with usage
• Improvements for formatting to minimize editing
• Enhanced/simplified transcription setup and usage
• Ability to sync vocabulary customizations and auto-texts with Nuance Dragon® Anywhere, sold separately, to extend the benefits of professional-grade speech recognition to mobile devices running iOS or Android OS.
• Optimization for popular touchscreens
• Improved/updates user interface/experience, help and contextual tips
• Expanded support for browsers and other applications allowing more voice-controlled editing, formatting and navigation.
